CBT (Computer-based Training) - CD-ROM Training Library
IT maintains a library of multimedia training titles on CD-ROM that cover beginner, intermediate and advanced training on popular applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Photoshop. CDs include instructional movies, video clips and interactive exercises. You may borrow up to 3 CDs at a time. For a full list of available training titles and content, view training titles.
Classes/Seminars Information Technology produces several training and education events throughout the year, covering a variety of topics in computing, biocomputing, research, and telecommunications. Participants receive training in frequently used applications and resources, and are also introduced to new technologies.
Create Online Training for Your Lab or Department
Create online training, testing and lectures with the learning management system (LMS) available from Information Technology. View the video of system features.
Custom Group & One-on-One Computer Training Custom training solutions can be developed or coordinated for members of the Rockefeller community. Custom training may include a combination of classroom, computer-based and one-on-one training as well as the development or acquisition of materials that address the specific computer learning needs of lab/staff members. One-on-one and group training is available on request. Rates vary. Contact the Help Desk at x8940 for assistance. Some custom training services include: - development of employee orientation/training packages
- workflow-centered content development
- production of multimedia tutorials of Web and desktop applications
- coordination of off-site or on-site training with outside vendors
- in-lab training
