The scope of Facilities Management services includes all support activities (i.e. troubleshooting, configuration, parameter settings) necessary to ensure continued operation of all covered resources. Also as part of our service, we constantly monitor vendors’ system advisories on problems, security notifications, compatibility alerts, etc., to address potential problems before they impact your operations. If and when desired, our support commitment extends to the hosting of client's applications on IT servers or other facilities, to the extent possible.

Facilities Management excludes applications and web programming services. Programming services are available under separate quotation. The agreement also does not cover third party support services or parts. However, IT is available to act as the clients' agent to procure such services and equipment as needed, and will make our inventory and other internal resources available for use on an interim basis.

We have a large collective Linux/Mac OS/Unix/Windows pool of professional expertise in the department and manage the university's core servers. We also are licensed for and hold Sun's (OS) source code and so are often able to rapidly research problems early, at an elemental level while service calls are being placed.
